Colour Blind - A Colouring Book by Driller Jet Armstrong - Soft Cover
Driller jet Armstrong is an artist across a number of disciplines. He is equally at home making art in his studio as he is mixing underground House music.
He has exhibited his art in Japan, Sydney and Melbourne as well as numerous one man and group exhibitions in Adelaide. In 1990 he was announced as the designer for the 1990 Adelaide Fringe poster.
In 1991 he caused nationwide controversy with his appropriation of another artist’s original work which he called Daubism. This action caused a seismic change in direction although he still enjoys experimenting and drawing in his own original pre-Daubism style.
He holds an honors degree in visual art from the University of South Australia, owns an iconic nightclub in Adelaide called Sugar and runs his own record label.
"In colouring in, as in life, the negative space is just as important as the positive. Feel free to break the rules and allow yourself to colour the sky green or the lawn blue. Add in new characters or objects and colour them in! Be as bold as the Fauves and let colour explode onto the page. Most of all – have fun doing it!”
